“孟山都保护法”的核心内容是：即使孟山都公司的转基因农作物被发现对人身体有害、造成了环境污染，即使该公司被告上法庭，即使在诉讼期间，也就是说在任何情况下，孟山都公司都无需停止“生产”和销售，法院不能强制孟山都公司停止行动，也就是说，在任何情况下联邦法院也没有办法对孟山都公司实行制裁。

Stopping the Monsanto Protection Act: How it Happened.
Earlier this year theworld finally learned how Monsanto works behind the scenes to manipulate ourlaws and elected officials when Congress passed a special interest handout thatbecame known as the Monsanto Protection Act, which was designed to protectMonsanto’s genetically engineered crops from judicial oversight.
Snuck into a must passspending bill, the Monsanto Protection Act was inserted by Monsanto’s minionsin Congress and deceptively titled the “Farmer Assurance Provision” by Monsantolobbyists and members of Congress. Murphy recognized that this was no“assurance” for farmers, but was quite the opposite!
Dave successfully framed the debate when he coined the phrase the“Monsanto Protection Act” last year when this issue first emerged.
In March of this year,something incredible happened, in a matter of days more than 300,000 FoodDemocracy Now! members took action to stop the Monsanto Protection Act. It wasthis phrase that stuck, and along with decisive and bold action, sparked arevolution - and even forced a U.S. senator to apologize.
Even as the MonsantoProtection Act passed being signed by President Obama while we stood in frontof the White House, Dave refused to give up, insisting that this outrage wastoo great to let stand, ultimately helping to generate more than 600,000actions to repeal it by the end of September.
